Coachella Style

Coachella Style Anna Golka

With Coachella just around the corner, Southern Californians have but this one thing on their minds. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram feeds are coming up all things Coachella. And although it is primarily a musical festival, it would be a lie to say that there is not large fashion scene surrounding the event. Crazy prints, crop tops, sheer everything, fringe, and boots; anything goes at Coachella (well, almost). So if you’re like me (secretly more excited to create outfits and do fashion research at the festival than you are for the music) then here are some great outfit options:

Favorite Fall Trend Trench Coats Trench Coats Are

Favorite Fall Trend:Trench Coats
Trench coats are the go to coats for the fall and winter season, they are also a staple in the fashion world. They can be worn with anything from suits to dark jeans. When worn they give off a sense of elegance and class that not many coats can do. Every man should own at least one nice trench coat. A navy blue or light brown trench coat is all you need for those cold days plus those two colors are super versatile and will go with anything you wear under it. It doesn’t matter if you’re going to a meeting or having a night out with friends, a trench coat will compliment you wherever you go. Visit GetStylin and show us one of your favorite fall trends-IJ

New York Fashion Week Is Long Awaited Each Year By

New York Fashion Week is long awaited each year by all in the fashion industry or simply by all those fashion lovers out there. Each designer filled the runways with beyond fabulous clothing. It’s obvious that I wouldn’t mind having each designer collection to just have at all the time. One designer left my gawking and obsessing over their Spring 2013 line. I just couldn’t take my eyes off it it for what felt like hours. It was simply incredible. Bold prints were made wearable by mixing them with neutral solids. Layers upon layers upon layers give more simple pieces depth and personality. Everything together was a creation of sheer perfection.

GS Style Inspiration of the Day

An Acute Inspiraton
It’s not every man (or woman) who can pull off a vest, but acollectedgentleman certainly manages it in this look. The muted color palette is a reminder that it’s September, and Fall is just around the corner, but he punches up the outfit with a red bow tie and blue striped shirt. Celebrity Style Icon: Florence Welch

Although the ethereal redhead is technically a singer, I think performing at a Chanel show and generally being a darling of the fashion world because of her offbeat, nonchalant personal style qualifies Florence Welch as a celebrity.
Welch often gravitates toward unusual textures and embellishments, as well as vintage pieces to create what she describes as a “gothic bat lady” aesthetic. Channel Welch with a unique statement necklace, printed frock or brocade jacket.

We Love Fashion Week: J. Crew & Michael Bastian

I’m loving J.Crew’s S/S 2013 line. It’s both playful and sophisticated. I also enjoy the color blocking most pieces had.  I can see myself wearing and styling a lot of what they are showcasing for Fashion Week .
Michael Bastian

Michael Bastians S/S 2013 line only solidied his greatness as a designer. Even though spring is gone and summer is almost over, his looks got me ready for those seasons all over again.  You can’t go wrong with wearing any of this this coming Spring and Summer

Celebrity Style Envy Kate Bosworth If I Had To

Celebrity Style Envy: Kate Bosworth
If I had to pick three celebrity closets to own it would be tough. Everyday I see images of celebrities wearing incredible pieces of clothing and entire outfits. Kate Bosworth would be an easy pick. She consistently pulls of an effortless, cool-girl chic. Everything from her jewelry to footwear is beyond ravishing. There’s not a single time that I have seen a picture of her and didn’t want to run out and purchase a look-a-like outfit (for much less money of course). So thanks Kate for your inspiring looks. Looking forward for styles to come.

Favorite Celebrity Style Idris Elba I Can Relate

Favorite Celebrity Style: Idris Elba
I can relate to the unique style that Idris Elba has. He is my favorite celebrity style icon because of his bold,  yet masculine touch he adds on each piece of clothing.  Idris may put on a colorful and bold pair of chino pants, then add a button up and a tie to show his personality and express himself.  Idris also frequently uses accessories to top off his outfit. You may see him with a pair of big frames to add that preparatory look or even a few stylish bracelets to compliment his outfit.  Whether it is a structured and tailored suit or even a t-shirt and jeans, Idris adds his own spunk and suave to his wardrobe.  Visit GetStylin and show us one of your looks inspired by your Favorite Celebrity-IJ

Every Now And Then Its Nice To Enjoy A Three Day

Every now and then it’s nice to enjoy a three-day weekend and take a mini break from real life. Labor Day is Monday and we’re looking extremely forward to a day off. School may be in session, but the temperatures outside still scream summer. That being said, the best way to enjoy this up-and-coming holiday is outside enjoying the sunshine. Heading to the beach? Grab a swimsuit, cover-up, and pair of sandals and you’re all set to go. Barbequing with friends? A light-weight dress will keep you cute yet cool. Check out the options above from Zimmerman, Madewell, Forever 21, House of Harlow, Wetseal, and ASOS!
